Recognition Express celebrates 30 years of business excellence

August 22, 2008

Leading UK franchisor Recognition Express is celebrating 30 years in business with an inspirational programme of events at its bi-annual conference on 5-6 September this year.

Managing Director Nigel ToplisRecognition Express franchisees from across the UK will converge at the event to attend motivational speaker sessions, including a ‘State of the Nation’ presented by Nigel Toplis, Managing Director. Despite economic uncertainty, Recognition Express is laying the foundations for growth.  New Corporate Clothing Manager, Wayne Cherry, is presenting his ‘Big Bang’ vision at the conference, setting out the strategy for the development of an enhanced decorated clothing service.

The weekend starts with a supplier exhibition on Friday 5 September followed on Saturday by guest speakers including Geoff Marsh from training provider Dansam Ltd and Gordon Glenister, director general of the British Promotional Merchandise Association. Attendees will also be introduced to innovative new promotional products and techniques to enhance their business offering.

The event will culminate in a black-tie gala dinner and awards ceremony, where the best performing franchises will be formally recognised and their achievements celebrated.

“When times are tough, the smartest businesses take proactive steps to ensure they can weather the storm,” says Nigel Toplis, managing director at Recognition Express. “Our franchise network is doing brilliantly, but it’s easy to lose your spirit with so much doom and gloom in the headlines. We want to remind our franchisees that they have a lot going for them, and exciting new opportunities to grow their businesses despite the downturn.

“The two-day event will also enable the franchise owners to network and share tips for success. One of the key benefits of owning a Recognition Express franchise is the social aspect, and the mutual support from peers as well as from head office.”
