Fast, New Look for York College

Students in York are finding their way around a new look campus this term thanks to a significant development project between York College and FASTSIGNS® Sheffield and Chesterfield.

The scheme, which involved building brand new college facilities on the site, is worth over £90,000 to FASTSIGNS Sheffield and Chesterfield and is one of the company’s most significant projects to date.

Lindsay Allison, director, and Ross Wainwright, assistant production manager, of FASTSIGNS Sheffield and Chesterfield were charged with the task of providing all the signage for the college, which will guide 13,000 students around the new campus. The company designed and supplied everything from the main signs and banners hanging in the college’s entrance hall, to the campus’ interior facilities signs and exterior directional and traffic signs.

Working closely with Bond Bryan, architects of the project, Balfour Beatty and York College to an extremely tight deadline, FASTSIGNS Sheffield and Chesterfield designed, produced and installed over 1400 signs in just three months.
