22 November 2012: Papa John’s has been announced as the Pizza Delivery Chain for 2012.
The Pizza, Pasta and Italian Food Association awarded Papa John’s its ‘Pizza Delivery Chain Award’ – which it has won five out of the last nine years - at a special gala dinner at London’s Lancaster Hotel last week (Thursday, November 15).
“This was the 24th Pizza Pasta & Italian Food Industry Awards organised by the industry’s only formal trade body in the UK representing the broad pizza, pasta and Italian food and drink industry,” explains Dave Galvin UK franchise sales manager, Papa John’s. “The aim of the awards is to encourage standards and so we are delighted that the hard work and dedication of our franchisees from across the UK have been recognised in this way. This achievement underlines the continued popularity of our concept of only using the highest quality ingredients and 100% fresh dough to create a top quality pizza with a better natural flavour.”
Papa John’s which recently opened its 200th UK store is now the world’s third largest pizza chain. The company was created by the original ‘Papa’ John Schnatter, who built the company, starting out from a converted broom cupboard in his father’s tavern in the US, to become a multi-national success with around 4,000 stores across 33 countries.
More than 100 new stores are expected to be opened by Papa John’s over the next few years, creating a substantial number of jobs across the UK. Papa John’s, which is renowned for its product quality, has opportunities for potential franchisees throughout the UK including the key locations of Yorkshire, Manchester, West Midlands, East Midlands, South West, North East, Wales & Scotland.
