Domino's Pizza's franchise sales team is prepared for a surge in enquiries today from potential entrepreneurs inspired by last night's airing of the new series of 'The Apprentice.'
Domino's Pizza's franchise sales team is prepared for a surge in enquiries today from potential entrepreneurs inspired by last night's airing of the new series of 'The Apprentice.'
During the screening of the hit BBC show last year, Domino's enquiries leapt 50%, reaching a 'franchise flash point', on Thursday 27th May 2007, the day after episode eight. This year's 'franchise flash point' is predicted to be today - Thursday 15th May 2008 - following the broadcast of episode eight last night in which Sara was fired.
Andy Emmerson, Domino's Pizza business development director, says, "Franchising is proving a very attractive proposition with recent bfa figures* for 2007 showing a new launch rate increase of 9%. This comes as no surprise to Domino's as we saw a 10% year on year increase in enquiries about becoming a store owner last year and opened 50 new stores.
"With the franchise flash point predicted for this week, potential franchisees wanting to find out more about opening a Domino's Pizza store need not worry about getting through to us - we are well prepared. And with the aim of opening 50 new stores this year, there are also plenty of opportunities for entrepreneurs to start new businesses with Domino's."
