“At Card Connection we aim to build long term relationships,” explains Michael Johnson, managing director, Card Connection. “For example, a number of our franchisees have been with us for almost 20 years and in our history when two of our senior managers decided it was time to move on, they actually opted to become franchisees. On this occasion, one of our former franchisees is returning to the company as a regional manager. This is the first time we have employed a dedicated regional manager based in Scotland and we are delighted to welcome Andrew back to share his unique insight and provide the right support for our franchisees and our valued retail customers in the area.”
“I have a background in sales and since developing and selling on my Card Connection franchise a few years ago I have been involved in several other franchises,” explains Andrew Henderson. “Card Connection has always been a great company and I’m glad to be back! My new role will enable me to share my experience with the franchisees in Northern England and Scotland and I am very much looking forward to tailoring the help I can provide to individual needs.
“I am keen to impart best practice and ideas within my group of franchisees but also widen this out to the rest of the network,” continues Andrew. “Developing group retail accounts is also a big opportunity and so I will be working closely with regional retail managers and head office national account staff, aiming to make a difference for franchisees and retailers alike.”
Card Connection is one of the UK’s largest card publishers and is the market leader in the franchised distribution of greeting cards. The business’ unique model of consignment sales has resulted in a strong brand and established reputation which has been proven over many years. Through its franchisees Card Connection supplies about 12,000 retailers throughout the UK.
Card Connection is part of UK Greetings, which is a subsidiary of American Greetings Inc., one of the largest greeting card publishers in the world and has limited vacancies for franchisees that are keen to run an expanding business. Since the franchise network in the UK is complete, the available opportunities now consist of acquiring an already-established territory from an existing franchisee. These vary in price according to their level of development, but start at £7k + Stock + Card Connection fee with earnings potential in excess of £50k per annum.
