Children ranging in age from 8 to 11 will become the writers, directors, animators, special effects creators and editors of their own animated Roman movie productions. They will plan, produce and screen their own films; in teams they will make all of their own creative and technical decisions.
Kelly Ford, head teacher of the School explains: “These classes are helping us to stretch our pupils, who are already very able with computers. We have been running ComputerXplorers classes as an after school club for some time and the children love the classes as they are fun and imaginative.”
Nicola Petty, owner of ComputerXplorers Cotswolds said: “ICT has a major role to play for all pupils; these classes not only help the children to develop their ICT skills but also allow them to explore creative and dramatic arts, learn how to plan their work and complete their projects within a team. We find that they enjoy themselves so much during our classes that they don’t realise they are learning.”
