The new store, situated at 35-36 West Street, opened on 27 July. It is the company’s seventh branch in total and fourth franchise shop.
Commenting on why he wanted to open a Raft franchise, Justin Brown, director of the Brighton store, said: “The franchise set up and outstanding training programme gave us the confidence to open the business, knowing we were fully supported and equipped with the tools to enjoy many happy years within the Raft family. Brighton’s public has embraced our products and the company's ethos, and we are delighted to have become members of such a vibrant retail scene."
The launch of the Brighton store follows the opening of its sixth store in Harrogate back in April.
Mick Quinn, cofounder of Raft, said: "Demand for our products has continued to grow and, as an independent furniture retailer, we are passionate about giving the customer much better access to our products, by extending our offer across the UK, and developing our online retail platform. As our brand has continued to grow in recognition, the franchise model seemed perfect for our business, allowing me and Heinz Frye, Raft’s cofounder, to keep a handle on the brand. Our aim is to maintain high standards and brand consistency throughout.”
