Auto Parts Franchise Opportunity With Mac Tools UK

Jason Dowle – who served in the Royal Army Medical Corps for 23 years – has launched Mac Tools in Weston-super-Mare and the North Somerset area.

The 43-year-old father of one is gearing up for the latest challenge in his life even though he has travelled more than a third of the globe and served in war-torn countries such as Bosnia.
Jason, who was a Regimental Sergeant Major when he left the Armed Forces, will be supplying market leading tools to the motor trade in his home town and surrounding areas.
He said: "This new career is very, very different to what I have been used to and a completely new challenge in its own way. But I am feeling really confident about running my own business because the Army teaches you how to think for yourself and deal with problems as and when they occur.

"I started trading about six weeks ago and the response so far has been terrific. I have had a really good reception from people in the local motor trade and I am already really busy. It has been a really encouraging start."

After leaving the Army Jason worked in the mentoring and training field before opting to go into business for himself.
The keen motorcycling racing enthusiast added: "I had come to the end of my service and wanted to take my time before choosing what to do next.

"I looked at other franchises including similar firms but decided to go with Mac Tools because they offer the best range of tools and are also the best quality out there. We can give customers a lot of options. I travel around the garages in my van to give them what they need at a good price. "There was a Mac Tools franchise in North Somerset but it finished about two years ago. My first job is to go out and meet people and let them know that they can get Mac Tools again.
"The main aim at the moment is to build the business back up to where it was and then I will take it from there."

He said: "This is a big change of lifestyle for me but I have to say I am really enjoying every minute of it. I didn’t see my wife and son for long periods of my life and every day you would have to face a new challenge.

"I am used to dealing with people from all walks and life and backgrounds which has helped me a lot."

As well as stocking spanners, screwdrivers and socket sets the former soldier also sells a wide range of toolboxes and accessories specially designed for the trade by Mac Tools and famous brands DeWalt, FACOM and Britool Expert.
