Iain Carson has launched Ovenu Dorking after spending more than 30 years in financial services, working for a host of banks and firms including Clydesdale Bank and Close Brothers.
Iain, 52, who lives in Horley, is now looking to establish a thriving small business after seeking a new challenge and the opportunity to be his own boss.
He said: “I’ve enjoyed an excellent career in finance and I now feel it is the right time for a change and to pursue a new challenge. It is quite a career change, but a lot of my skills and experience will suit this latest venture and I am delighted to be starting out in business with Ovenu.
“I’ve always wanted to work independently and by having the backing of a franchise network behind me, this allows me to fulfil my ambition with additional support. I am a very personable person and am now looking forward to meeting new people and getting started.”
Ovenu Dorking provides an environmentally-friendly oven valeting service to homes and businesses throughout Dorking, Reigate and Redhill, as well as all surrounding areas.
Rik Hellewell, Managing Director and Founder of Ovenu, said: “Iain has all the qualities to succeed in creating a well-established small business. I am delighted that he is on board with Ovenu and I would like to wish him all the very best.”
Ovenu is a franchise network made up of more than 100 businesses owned by men and women working throughout the UK.
The Ovenu valeting process involves dismantling key components of an oven such as the door, interior panels, fan and shelves and placing them into design-registered tank equipment, which uses safe, non-caustic products to clean the oven parts. The whole process takes around three to four hours and leaves the oven, hob and exterior in immaculate condition.
