Ovenu Wirral has now completed 6,000 oven valets since it was established in May 2006 – averaging 600 cleans a year.
Simon Kirkby, owner of Ovenu Wirral, is now expecting to see this number rise as he plans to add to his workforce over the next 18 months, having taken on Dave Glover, his first sub-contractor, in 2014.
Simon, 49, said: “It has been a fantastic 10 years in business and I have thoroughly enjoyed the challenge. Starting out with Ovenu at the beginning of the recession was difficult, but I am very proud to have persevered and seen it through, with the firm going from strength to strength in recent years.
“Dave’s appointment was a massive boost as it allowed me to grow the business and take on additional work, which has strengthened our position in the market. Hopefully this will continue and I will be in a position to recruit another member of staff to meet this increased demand.
“I am now looking forward to celebrating more milestones in the future and build on this period of positivity.”
Ovenu Wirral serves homes and businesses throughout the Wirral Peninsula, including Great Sutton, Little Sutton, Ellesmere Port, Heswall, Bromborough, Bebington, West Kirby, Hoylake, Moreton, Wallasey, Birkenhead and all surrounding areas.
Ovenu is a franchise network made up of more than 100 businesses owned by men and women working throughout the UK.
Rik Hellewell, Managing Director and Founder of Ovenu, said: “Simon has dedicated himself to his business and deservedly reaped the rewards over the last decade. I would like to wish him and his team all the very best for the future.”
The Ovenu valeting process involves dismantling key components of an oven such as the door, interior panels, fan and shelves and placing them into design-registered tank equipment, which uses safe, non-caustic products to clean the oven parts. The whole process takes around three to four hours and leaves the oven, hob and exterior in immaculate condition.
