James has a debilitating illness and relies on his Heritage Healthcare carers visiting five times a day. The team support him with all everyday tasks to enable him to remain living independently in his own home.
Mr Miller said: “The carers support me to carry on living in my own home and I am very grateful for this. My illness now means that I can’t walk, drive or write anymore and I can’t safely use my stair lift so I am unable to leave the flat at the moment, which is obviously not ideal.
I call the girls Zoe’s Angels, because that is what they are to me. They are always caring and professional but they are so friendly and chatty and really brighten up the days. I would be totally lost without them.”
Zoe Newbury, care manager at the Teesside office, said: “We now have a fantastic team of carers in place and are delighted to be working with our first clients. James is a lovely gentleman and is always appreciative of the help he receives every day. However, Heritage Healthcare is about much more than just the day to day care it provides its clients, although that is very important. In James’ case we are working with other organisations to ensure that his home environment and the equipment he has allows him to regain his mobility and enhances his quality of life by enabling him to get out and about in the community. We are looking forward to working with many more people across Teesside providing the high quality of care Heritage Healthcare is known for.“
The Teesside office of Heritage Healthcare, based in Middlesbrough, bridges the gap between the company’s existing branches in Darlington and Guisborough and will enable clients in Middlesbrough, Stockton, Thornaby, Billingham, Yarm, Stokesley and the surrounding areas to take advantage of the high quality domiciliary care and healthcare services Heritage Healthcare provides.
