Andrew said: “Mike is a truly inspirational man. He suffers from MND himself but has made it his destiny to help others who are suffering from the terrible disease. His charity raises money for much needed research into the incurable disease, whilst also helping local people through donations to the MND Care Centre at James Cook University Hospital and to the Cleveland MNDA Group.”
Speaking to the Evening Gazette, Mike, 69 said: “MND is a cruel disease. That’s why – not just for those diagnosed with it but for the family and friends of those left behind – it is important for those of us who can to raise as much awareness as possible, and much-needed cash for the MND Associations central research fund in the hope that one day, a cure will be found.”
