With the theme firmly placed on ‘Raising the Bar’, the group were able to report an outstanding year during the preceeding 12 months, showing a 44% growth on 2011, whilst looking to greater growth and development in 2013.
Business in the UK had been brisk with the addition of 16 new offices to the UK network, whilst further growth overseas saw the opening of the company’s first office in Malta and continued expansion with the network of offices in Ireland.
2012 was an important year in Caremark’s development with the company continuing to invest in support, with new team members joining both the in-field and office based central support team, ensuring that strong support continues to be delivered to the growing network of franchisees.
The day kicked off with presentations by key members of Caremark’s Support Team to some 80 plus delegates who had come from all over the UK, Ireland and Malta to attend the annual event. Taking a different format to previous years, some of Caremark’s most successful franchisees contributed to the uplifting and informative programme of presentations, with the morning’s business concluding with a Q & A session, with a panel of franchisees from Caremark’s different regions taking questions from the floor.
Emphasis on ‘Raising the Bar’ in 2013 underpinned the conference, with focus being placed on maintaining quality of service, continuation of good business practice, utilisation of strong marketing strategies and continued networking.
“Thank you to all the Head office team for organising such a good conference - the surroundings were beautiful” said Dinah Madelin, Caremark (West Oxfordshire & Cherwell).
A gala dinner and awards ceremony took place in the evening with 10 awards in total being presented, with sponsorship of Caremark’s three top awards – Achievement, Mark of Excellence and Franchisee of the Year donated by key suppliers of services to the network.
Caremark (Charnwood) scooped a double award – a first for the Caremark network, taking both the Midlands Regional Award and Caremark’s ‘Mark of Excellence’ award.
“The sharing of their personal journeys by different franchisees was incredibly beneficial. It’s always useful to share the ups and downs with fellow franchisees and always good to get right away from the office for 24 hours”, Dinah Madelin concluded.
Delegates left the conference energised and enthusiastic, with some good food for thought for the coming year’s business.
