It was just six months ago that a master franchise agreement was finalised to bring the 24 hour fitness concept to the UK. Lead by Justin McDonell, the Anytime Fitness master franchisee for Australia and New Zealand, and Andy Thompson, a local business entrepreneur.
“Bristol’s opening is extremely impressive and sets a great benchmark for ongoing success in the UK.” says Chuck Runyon, Founder of the Anytime Fitness franchise.
The club is owned by franchisee Robin Drysdale, a former tennis professional. “We look forward to helping the Bristol community achieve their health and fitness goals,” says Drysdale. “Members have everything they need for a great workout – world class equipment, affordable membership rates, a friendly, clean environment, coupled with state of the art access control and security systems.”
Runyon continues “Bristol’s excellent pre-sale shows that there is a high demand for the Anytime Fitness product in the UK and customers are very keen to enjoy a convenient and affordable health and fitness experience.”
Membership fees are available at a monthly rate of £25 - £30 per month.
Anytime Fitness has plans to open in Hemel Hempstead early next year, followed by clubs in Staines, Ealing, Basildon, Watford and Leeds. It is expected that within five to seven years, there will be 300 operational clubs in the UK.
