Having established their businesses with male executives, Tony Carr in Guildford and Gordon Inglis in Leeds have invested in the next module of the franchise and can expect to double their customer base with referrals from current clients’ wives, girlfriends and female business associates.
Carol Rawson, Director, Suit the City believes the decision will prove popular: "It is very exciting that our franchisees have reached this stage. The demand for made-to-measure clothing for women executives is under-catered for in the marketplace and with a wider array of garments on offer - skirts, dresses, jackets and trousers, I know that Gordon and Tony are looking forward to expanding their businesses."
Those ladies concerned about being measured up by a gentleman can rest assured that there are no intimate measurements to be taken. Suit the City use ‘master models to measure and assess the clients figurations – no ‘suits you madam’ here.
Indeed, Suit the City is all about 21st century tailoring. First the client tries on a garment template or Master Model and then any necessary adjustments are made to ensure the fit is to their body shape and size. Measurements are then taken from the template garment and inputted into a computer software programme. This generates a pattern which is unique to the client and used to manufacture the finished garment.
