“I decided to leave my previous position because I wanted more control of my future. I looked at various other franchises before deciding on Total Clean. I knew I didn’t want to operate a van franchise, so I spoke to a variety of other types of franchisor. Total Clean seemed more attractive than the others to me and, although they are a young franchise, their business model is proven and their franchise model is very well designed. They came across as very professional and helpful, so it was a clear decision for me.”
Total Clean has operated in the commercial cleaning sector for 26 years, with a success that is based on an unrelenting commitment to service excellence and an obsessive attention to detail. We proudly boast an enviable 95% client retention rate; in fact, among our many longstanding clients, we have the privilege of still servicing one client from the very first week of operation.
At month six, the Total Clean model forecasts that you should be generating £2,339 a month in daily office cleaning (DOC) contracts across approximately 9 clients. In actual fact, Eric has 68 hours a week work across 9 clients generating £3,000 a month. In addition, it is expected that franchise partners will generate an additional 10 per cent (of the DOC) approximately in revenues from other services such as carpet cleaning and janitorial supplies. Eric is happily working at 9 per cent (of the DOC) and is really pleased as this extra work brings the predicted higher margins.
Total Clean’s franchise partners manage a team of cleaning operatives that are only engaged once new cleaning contracts are won in their protected territories and Eric now has 8 cleaning operatives working in his team. Working from home, the low initial capital outlay sees franchise partners like Eric trading into an operating profit as soon as year one. By the end of year five, and for diligently following Total Clean’s methodologies, it is projected that franchise partners will have built a £1 million annual turnover business with profitability of approximately 24 percent.
Eric puts his success down to his hard work and the support of the franchisor’s team, “Our Franchise Development Manager, Simon Youngs, launched his own Total Clean franchise in 2013 so this experience, coupled with his years of business development and marketing experience have meant that my business has made a text-book start. So far, I have quoted for over £180,000 of contracts where the opportunities to quote have come from either my own offline sales efforts, from my website or via Total Clean HQ marketing initiatives.”
Eric’s clients now include electrical wholesalers, internet service providers, doctors surgeries and a church; proving the broad application of Total Clean’s services across many market types.
