Previously these were supplied to franchisees as a digital copy by head office for them to file and retain locally, but it was felt that these important reference materials could be accessed inaccurately if memos were missed or filing wasn’t up to date. Now franchisees have access to the most recent versions whenever required.
Dan van Kuyk at Betterclean explains: “Our franchise systems and industry knowledge are what allows someone with no background in commercial cleaning to be successful in our network. We’re proud of the systems and accreditations (for example ISO 9001 and ISO4001) that are held by the franchise and these assist with winning and running higher value, more profitable contracts, particularly in the public sector. ISO 9001 system means that documents need to be held in a library format and with this latest development we now have an exceptional solution.”
The Betterclean franchise model has been designed to be scalable with franchisees able to start as owner operators (working as a supervisor of cleaning teams and salesperson) but it is also possible to start with the franchise owner operating as a manager, overseeing the operation of a salesman/team a cleaning supervisor and cleaning operatives as well as potentially an admin assistant.
As most of the franchisees are running large teams of people it is vital to have easy access to the most current versions of documents including operations manuals, template tender documents, HR documents and guidance notes, not to mention cleaning systems notes and guidance. This new centralised system will allow the franchisees to have secure access to the documents via a password protected log-in from the franchise website.
As well as saving franchisees time and effort in locating relevant materials, this new online document library will enable head office to update the materials on a more frequent basis.
