The mobile cafe business, which now boasts a network of more than 75 coffee vans, surveyed its database of 2,000 customers with an impressive 70% of respondents stating the service they receive could not be improved. More than 90% of customers visit a Cafe2U more than twice a week and spend up to £5 each visit. Respondents also highlighted the great coffee, top customer service and overall convenience as the main reasons for their repeat custom.
These results follow an impressive year for the company, which saw it increase sales by more than 8% year-on-year and, as the UK’s largest mobile coffee business, Cafe2U had over 3.5million customer interactions during 2015/16. The company also opened 18 new outlets during that time, with a similar growth plan expected for 2016/17.
Tom Acland, Managing Director at Cafe2U, said: “These results are not just great for us to hear, they are an indication that all the hard work the team has put in is paying off. We are committed to taking fantastic espresso coffee direct to customers in their place of work across the country, offering them a first class customer experience along the way. These results show we are meeting that commitment but we don’t plan to stop there and plans are in place to continue to grow and strengthen our position as the leading mobile coffee business in the UK.”
Cafe2U is the world's largest mobile coffee franchise and provides opportunity and support for entrepreneurs who deliver fresh espresso coffee and great food. The brand was recently awarded Rainforest Alliance certification for responsibly sourced coffee and recently launched a line of Keep Cups to minimise the amount of paper cups sold and reduce waste.
