Cafe2U is delighted to announce that three of their franchise partners have been shortlisted for this national award, making this the 5th year that Cafe2U has been shortlisted for the awards. Nick Anderton
at Cafe2U Bradford East, Laura Macrae at Cafe2U Aberdeen West and Antonio Petrosino at Cafe2U Merton have been shortlisted for the Beverage Standards Awards 2012 and only have to wait until the 20th September to find out the winners at a ceremony in London.
Organised by the Beverage Standards Association, the UK’s out-of-home non-vending refreshment industry trade association, these awards are designed to assess the standards of service, facilities, tea, coffee
(espresso, filter and milk-based) and hot chocolate. In order to ensure accurate and impartial assessment of standards, all nominees have been evaluated by anonymous, trained assessors over a period of many months.
The news of the nominations has not only excited all of us at Cafe2U but also our customers. Bryan from What Doctors Don’t Tell You (WDDTU), a monthly health journal, is very excited about Antonio’s nomination:
“I just wanted to add my congratulations! Your coffee fully deserves the award. We all know that your coffee is the best around – that’s always been our little secret – but it’s wonderful to have it officially recognised. The fact you’ve beaten dedicated coffee shops to be shortlisted in the award speaks volumes of the care you take in its storage and preparation – and all from a van. Well done again!”
The ceremony will be hosted by Jon Skinner, the UK’s top barista trainer, and will be a celebration of all nominated establishments who are raising the standards in the excellence of drinks and best service.
Unsurprisingly, Jon Skinner is also Cafe2U’s barista trainer who provides intensive training to our franchise partners prior to their launches.
Cafe2U is already the world’s largest mobile coffee franchise with over 100 mobile coffee vans in Australia and over 50 in the UK and Ireland.
