Inspired by her dance school, Kate set her sights on making the grade as a dance teacher from an early age. After she left school, Kate completed a National Diploma in Performing Arts at Doncaster College and then went on to complete a degree in Performing Arts at De Montfort University in Leicester.
Upon leaving university, Kate soon found her dance feet delivering Zumba classes in her local area. She built up a name for herself and it wasn’t long before she started working with primary school children delivering Zumba Kids.
As well as Kate’s experience in primary schools she’s been involved in numerous dance projects with the charity Mencap where she gained valuable and rewarding experience working alongside children with learning difficulties.
Kate has also led street dance projects with the local council tackling anti-social behaviour in the community.
Kate commented: “I began working as Dance Coordinator for Premier Performing Arts in February. I’ve not been working in the position for long but having worked for other dance and sport companies in the area I’ve been amazed by the professionalism of Premier Education Group and I’m very excited about what the future holds for my team at Premier Performing Arts.”
