Newly Qualified Bookkeeper Joins The Revolution

The Local Bookkeeper (TLBK), the revolutionary bookkeeping franchise, has launched a new franchise in Wales to support its ever-growing national coverage.
The Local Bookkeeper (TLBK), the revolutionary bookkeeping franchise, has launched a new franchise in Wales to support its ever-growing national coverage.
Susan Jenkins AICB, a newly qualified bookkeeper of the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers had just passed her final exams and was ready to start the gargantuan undertaking of preparing to launch her own bookkeeping business.
“I had just received my practising certificate from the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers and was planning to launch my bookkeeping business when I saw the information on the website about The Local Bookkeeper.”
Susan explains, “I had experience as a bookkeeper but I felt that working to a proven business model which had been engineered to deliver an excellent service to my clients, would add real value to my business. I was also really worried about the marketing of my business as I knew that if I didn’t get this right, I would not have a business.”
Susan was subjected to a stringent assessment process which included due diligence for both parties and after successful completion, she was offered the franchise territory of her choice. She then attended a week long, intensive training programme in Horsham, West Sussex. Susan returned to Wales to reap the rewards of the launch campaign, which helped get her new business off to a flying start.
“The training week was excellent, I learnt every aspect of the business model, from managing my business and staff to helping develop and grow the business. I am extremely confident and excited about my future within the TLBK franchise. I think that the national brand and quality control procedures, together with the 'Code of Professional Conduct' from the ICB, will take bookkeeping as a career from the 'scrooge' scenario into the 21st century, as a professional, exciting and rewarding career.”
Susan is just one of the growing number of bookkeepers to recognise the ever-increasing list of advantages of joining the revolution, including working within a proven business model which has the ability to expand, support for the franchisees in all areas and even offering an outsource service to provide cover during holidays and illness.
Within 2 weeks of launching her business and following a hugely successful launch campaign, Susan is already thinking about taking on additional staff to provide support to her new clients.
