This year's British & International Franchise Exhibition, the UK’s leading international franchise event, is due to take place at London’s Olympia on 13 and 14 March. It is organised by the Venture Marketing Group (VMG), and the US Department of Commerce (DOC) granted it Trade Fair Certification in August last year.

The 2014 Exhibition also attained Trade Fair Certification last year. As a result, more franchise systems from the US exhibited at the event in March 2014, offering exciting franchise opportunities to thousands of aspiring franchisees in the UK and from overseas.
The Department of Commerce is represented in the UK by the US Commercial Service (USCS), based in the US Embassy, London. USCS supports US franchisors seeking to enter into and to expand in the UK market. The renewal of Trade Fair Certification means The British & International Franchise Exhibition will again be promoted as a market entry and expansion opportunity for American franchise brands.
The British & International Franchise Exhibition 2014 was the only UK franchise event in the year to have received DOC Trade Fair Certification. It was also the only major London franchise exhibition endorsed by the British Franchise Association (bfa), the association that maintains franchise quality and standards in the UK. Knowing that the bfa has approved all exhibitors means visitors are reassured and confident about their discussions with exhibiting companies.
Among the US franchise companies which exhibited last year were Anytime Fitness, McDonald's, Crestcom, Johnny Rockets, Tutor Doctor, and Sandler Training. More US brands are expected to exhibit this year.
The International Franchise Conference within The British & International Franchise Exhibition 2015 will be bigger, and feature a greater range of informative speakers from across the globe, than ever before.
In addition, a representative from the US Embassy will feature within the exhibition and will be available to offer British brands advice and assistance on taking their franchise to America.
Chrystal Denys, Commercial Specialist at the US Commercial Service UK, commented: “We are pleased with the added value and positive outcomes that US brands enjoyed in 2014 as a result from working with the Venture Marketing Group and look forward to building on those outcomes in 2015.”
Adrian Goodsell, Director of Franchise Sales at Venture Marketing Group, said: “This renewed Trade Fair Certification is a tremendous accolade and confirms The British & International Franchise Exhibition as the UK’s leading international franchise event. For many years we have been successfully attracting large audiences of serious potential franchisees, including high net worth investors, to this exhibition from across the globe.
“In particular, this is great news for visitors as there will be more well-known US brands for them to meet face-to-face under one roof at the Olympia in March 2015.”
