Released by The National Franchise Exhibition Press Office:
"Investors can generate exciting returns by putting money into franchises. While some investors are passive, those who actively invest both their money and time and effort often earn greater returns. Carefully chosen franchise investments can generate a return of around 10 to 15 per cent.
The franchise market has grown steadily, despite the economic downturn. The success of the franchise industry is proven by the latest NatWest/British Franchise Association (bfa) survey, which reports that the turnover of UK franchise businesses has increased by 20 per cent during the recession while 92 per cent are operating profitably.
For those who are looking to invest a significant amount of capital in a franchise opportunity there are two major exhibitions in the industry to consider: Franchise Opportunities Live, taking place on 5 and 6 September at Park Plaza, Victoria in central London; and The National Franchise Exhibition on 3 and 4 October at the NEC, Birmingham.
At each event a High Investment VIP Lounge or Zone provides an exclusive facility to discuss significant investments in comfortable, private surroundings allowing visitors to network with franchisors over complimentary tea or coffee. In addition, representatives of leading franchises will offer advice about high investment options at the High Investment Panel Seminars. At The National Franchise Exhibition, Mail Boxes Etc. and Anytime Fitness will be contributing valuable insight to the discussion.
The exhibitions feature businesses from a broad spectrum of sectors such as finance, food and drink, fitness, care, property and homecare. Major names will be at the exhibitions including Baskin-Robbins, Kare Plus, Papa John’s, and many major brands from overseas.
The seminars at each exhibition are part of a packed and comprehensive range of features that provide visitors with an opportunity to find out everything they need to know about franchising and to make a well-informed business decision. Many of them are led by bfa experts including lawyers, bankers, consultants and franchisors who will provide valuable advice and free consultations.
Visitors can talk with experts and consultants face-to-face in the Finance Clinic, hear real-life accounts from franchisees on taking up a franchise at the Real Franchise Stories panels and gain invaluable knowledge through a series of seminars hosted by the bfa.
To help with time planning for both franchisors and visitors, a pre-arranged ‘matched-meeting’ service will pair visitors with the franchise they would most suit and set up one-to-one meetings with franchisors. Visitors have the opportunity to find out as much as they can about the brands that interest them.
Both exhibitions are supported by the bfa, meaning visitors can be confident that all the franchise companies exhibiting at the events have met the association’s code of ethics.
Both events are open from 10am each day, closing at 5pm on Friday and 4pm on Saturday."
