Green industries are innovative and popular. Environmental awareness used to be seen as “hippyish” but is now becoming more popular and politically correct. With new legislation being introduced regularly to protect the environment, the green industry is really growing. Now is a great time to consider an investment in a green franchise opportunity.
A UN report released in Sept. 08 stated that the key areas considered to have the most potential to make improvements for the environment are energy supply, energy efficiency, transport, basic industries (such as iron & steel, aluminium, cement, paper & pulp), recycling and agriculture & forestry.
A report published by the Green Party in Sept. ’08 found that there is huge potential in the UK for the expansion of green industries. It said “The UK is currently lagging far behind its European neighbours in terms of green jobs. For instance, in Germany there are currently 250,000 jobs in renewable energy, while in the UK there are 26,000 at best”. This means that there is a big niche in the green industry which has not yet been filled.
We are currently offering green franchise opportunities in the cleaning, automotive and retail industries.
