The British Chambers of Commerce have developed an online Business Networking forum in order to provide an online networking facility for small business owners. The online network is free to members of the British Chambers and non members can obtain a free three month trial. The portal will give users access to new markets and customers as well as new business partners and suppliers. So if you are a small to medium sized business owner interested in increasing the exposure of your business visit the Business Networking forum to find out more.
The first European SME week was launched Wednesday and will continue until this Friday 14th May. More than 1,000 events organised to promote entrepreneurship are taking place across the EU. These events will aim to boost interest in entrepreneurship during the current economic downturn. Brussels will host an interactive exhibition entitled “SME experience – How it feels to be an entrepreneur” from 6 to 9 May, where the visitor will get firsthand experience of what it is like to be an entrepreneur by seeing, smelling, touching and listening to installations in 10 rooms. Also, The winners of the European Entrepreneurship Video Awards will be announced at the opening event in Brussels on 6 May . For more information visit the European SME week website.
