What is CENTRA Dyslexia

CENTRA Dyslexia (also known as CENTRA IDL) is a company that provides specialist support to improve Literacy skills and overcome Dyslexia problems via a network of authorised Dyslexia Managers. CENTRA (Education and Training) Limited is based in Chorley, Lancashire, England, a ‘not for profit’ education charity – working in/with the education and adult learning sectors. Our origins date back to 1839, and we are a major stakeholder in ABC Awards (a national awarding body).

We offer a computer programme, which provides effective multisensory learning and improves reading and spelling. It is suitable for both adults and children, and succeeds where other methods fail. The programme contains over 900 lessons and has helped thousands of students with great success. It is based on the principle known as connectivism and incorporates a multi-sensory approach involving sight, hearing, touch and speech.

Who are we looking for?

Subject to initial screening, you can gain authorised status to run your own successful CENTRA Dyslexia Centre.  You do not need to have any specific Dyslexia qualifications to be a Dyslexia Manager; however, you will need enthusiasm and the determination to succeed.  It is not only a potentially profitable business, but an immensely satisfying one too.  Some of our Dyslexia Managers run their businesses from home, some take on commercial premises, i.e. set up a centre, while others decide to visit people in their homes or provide the support in an educational or community establishment.  We have a commitment to making each centre successful and offer extensive support from the start.  

As an authorised CENTRA Dyslexia Manager, you will receive:
