Hudson Conway & Co is a well established accountancy and business advisory franchise with over twenty existing associates. We offer an excellent opportunity to people who have a managerial/executive, accounting or bookkeeping background. As part of our recruitment procedure, we will verify (by interview and discussion) whether you have the ability to become one of our associates. However, do not be put off by any doubts you may have about your ability. We will assess that. Remember, this is first and foremost, an opportunity to provide a valuable business service to the small business market.

The opportunity is ideal for people who would like to start their business on a part time basis working from home.  Alternatively, more ambitious individuals may wish to start on a full time basis working from a dedicated office.  We can cater for both types.

There are over two million businesses in the UK and a further three million self employed people who need to submit a tax return. The great majority of these (in excess of 95%) have a turnover of less than £500,000. They all need advice from a consultant, bookkeeper or accountant. That is our market. Our systems, methods, advice and support are all aimed at meeting the needs of these smaller businesses. 

Because we provide a very wide range of services to this market (i.e. from tax returns to legal advice to consultancy) our franchise offering has been divided into three levels each of which will suite people with differing levels of experience.  

Level 1     This is the basic level of service providing tax returns to self employed people.  This is a lucrative market and first year income is expected to be about £30,000 and the initial investment is £7,000.

Level 2     This level is for accountants (not necessarily chartered).  At level 2, you would be providing a full accounting service to clients covering final accounts, tax advice, VAT and a wide range of similar services.  The target initial earnings is around £45,000 and the entry cost is £10,500.

Level 3     This level is designed for the person who has worked through level 2 and wants to expand or is an experienced manager who wants to enter the business directly.  The services we offer are:

Brokerage     selling businesses for clients
Consulting     assisting people to grow/improve profit or similar objectives
Finance         raising finance from various sources for businesses

The entry cost at level 3 is £14,000 and we will discuss potential earnings at the first meeting.

In these brief descriptions, we have not given any indication of the long term earnings potential at any level.  This is simply because there is no limit to the size or profitability of an accounting or advisory business. The market is enormous at about 5 million people.  Our systems work and therefore can be repeated to build a successful business of any size.

The only limit on business size and profitability is the ambition of the business owner.
