The Homeclean domestic cleaning franchise opportunity
Established in 1985 by husband and wife team Teresa and Matthew, Homeclean is the largest cleaning company in the South East region. In a booming market, Homeclean has retained its family-run roots over the last thirty years, whilst expanding rapidly to offer franchise opportunities all over the UK.
We have enjoyed progressive growth year on year of 8 – 10% per cent, which particularly high returns in 2007 at the height of the recession, proving that this is a sustainable and profitable business even in difficult economic time. Our expansion has continued steadily and in 2011 we launched our franchise programme to further capitalise on demand for our services. We now have 25 franchisees up and running.

Franchising with us
Homeclean is a management franchise opportunity – you don’t do any cleaning yourself or visit clients or cleaners. Yours is an office-based role, overseeing the running of the company on the whole.
You can tailor your hours to fit in other responsibilities, which makes this an ideal investment for someone who have childcare obligations or other employment.
As you can set up right away and require no equipment aside from a laptop and scanner, your costs are low and you can recoup your initial investment and begin making money in your first year.
Our successful business model
Our business model is streamlined for simplicity and success – for franchisees and their clients. Clients pay a yearly or short-term agency fee to Homeclean for providing cleaners and organising cover when cleaners are on holiday or sick.
The cleaners themselves are paid for their own work on an hourly basis directly by the client. Our maintenance fees reduce once clients have been using our service for a year. This inventive has led to a high renewal rate – up to 85% of client continue with our service for the following year. This business model also means that our revenue grows substantially year on year.
Client appreciation for our smooth management is such that our first franchisee Emma was a previous Homeclean client, and has now been operating in Croydon and Bromley for several years. We continued with our expansion following this, and have seven territories in the London area and the Midlands.
Running your franchise
Homeclean has a very strong internet presence and will manage your internet advertising so that clients will be directed to your own website. We have our own bespoke Homeclean software that makes running your franchise simple and efficient at all stages, enabling you to provide comprehensive, first class customer service.
Homeclean will provide you with templates to answer enquiries and take on clients who would either call or email you directly. You will interview and select cleaners and then liaise with clients to make sure they are happy with their cleaner. The only visitors to your office space will be cleaners who will register with you in a 15 minute process.
Training, support and cover
New franchisees receive a week long training programme covering marketing and administration. We also provide an operations manual to remind franchisees of all administrative processes.
After your training at the Homeclean London office, Teresa or Steve (Franchise Manager) are available to offer support on a daily basis to answer all of those strange questions that the general public may throw at you.
Homeclean realises that a very important part of being a member of a franchise team is the moral support of others in the same situation. We hold regular meetings with other franchisees either in the London office or by webcam so that you can share experiences and gain knowledge by hearing how other franchisees deal with various situations.
Homeclean will also manage your business and deal with all of your internet and phone enquiries for two weeks per year (and the odd day here and there) by diverting your traffic to the London HQ so that you will be able to take a real break and enjoy the fruits of your labour.
